Malvern Criteriums – Monday, July 8, 5 – 9PM
Welcome to Malvern
Malvern, a small-town village on the eastern edge of Chester County, is about 25 miles west of Philadelphia and serves as the crossroad between the city and its busy suburbs and the rural hills and open spaces of Chester County.
The Chesco Malvern Criterium is sponsored by the Malvern Business and Professional Association with all proceeds benefiting the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), which fights childhood cancer. This event is a fun-filled family friendly evening featuring age-specific kids’ races before the pro races, live music, and food and beverages showcasing the historic town of Malvern.
As part of the evening festivities, families can enjoy the kids’ zone in Burke Park including a bounce house, face painting, live music and other family oriented activities. This area will also offer a great view of the race going on around the park. Bring your chairs, set them up along the course, and let the kids play while you enjoy the excitement of the cyclists racing past.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each kids’ race and each child will receive a participation award. Food will be provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Victory Brewing will again be our pour sponsor. More food choices will be available for purchase.
To make the event complete, we’ll have a professional bike race emcee who will bring excitement and an insider’s perspective on the finer points of team cycling.
All proceeds from the event benefit ALSF who will be present at the event with their popular lemonade stands. Please come on out to support this exciting community event. To donate directly to ALSF click here.
Race Start/Finish Line Location: 116 E. King Street, Malvern, PA 19355.
